About

About me:

the dark rose

For as long as I can remember, words have been both my refuge and my liberation. As a child, I struggled to give voice to the thoughts and feelings that swirled within me. While others spoke freely, I found myself retreating, a silent observer in a world that moved at a different pace. Face-to-face conversations, especially with strangers, felt like trying to navigate a dense fog, my true self lost somewhere in the haze.

My journey began with short notes and letters—tiny vessels carrying the weight of unspoken affection and tangled ideas. It was in these written lines that I first discovered the power of communication, a way to connect without the pressure of someone waiting for my immediate response. This quiet rebellion led me to ignite my passion for storytelling, fueled by narratives found everywhere—in the lyrical depths of a song, the silent wisdom of a wild animal, the relentless rhythm of a long trail run, and the quiet power of a book.

I found a kindred spirit in the melancholic verses of a song and the profound peace of an ancient forest. I studied the way poets and lyricists crafted their worlds, and I started to build my own. My writing became a way to explore the world's beauty and its shadows, to find the light in the dark, and to make sense of the chaos. It’s through these stories—about nature, animals, and the quiet moments that define us—that I hope to connect with you. This blog is my conversation with the world, a space where my thoughts can finally flow freely. It is my therapy, and I hope it can be a source of solace and inspiration for you, too.
